Full days are from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. However, if we’re close to finishing, I’m happy to extend until 5:00 PM to complete the session.
My full-day rate is $1,200. For large-scale pieces requiring multiple sessions, this rate is discounted to $1,000 per day. These prices include GST.
You’re welcome (and encouraged) to bring food with you. We have a small fridge available if you need to keep anything cold. Eating properly before and during your tattoo session is incredibly important, especially for full-day bookings. Your energy levels significantly impact your ability to sit still and manage your body’s physical response. Even if tattoos aren’t painful for you, they put your body into a prolonged “fight or flight” state, which requires a lot of energy.
PLEASE have breakfast before your full-day appointment. From personal experience, I can tell you that the one session where I skipped breakfast and only had an Up & Go was far more difficult than the ones where I ate and rested well. I couldn’t stop moving, and we had to finish hours earlier than usual because I was too exhausted.
You are welcome (and encouraged) to bring food for lunch as well as snacks. We have a small fridge available if needed, and we can take as many snack breaks as necessary. Maintaining your energy levels is incredibly important during full-day sessions—refer back to my point about your body being in a sustained state of “fight or flight.” I’d suggest bringing a water-bottle, something for lunch, snacks for morning/afternoon tea, and some lollies of your choice!!
On that note (though this has never happened to me during a session with a client, I feel it’s important to mention), if you start to feel shaky, dizzy, light-headed, or nauseous, please let me know immediately. These are early warning signs that your body is reaching its limit, and it’s important to listen to those signals.
I will never be upset if you need to tap out—if anything, I’ll be really proud of you for advocating for yourself and voicing your needs!
You’re welcome to bring anything that helps you stay comfortable, such as a pillow, blanket, headphones, or a gaming device like a Nintendo Switch. I often wear headphones while tattooing for lining the tattoo, as it helps me focus and work faster. Once the major sections are complete, I usually take them off. If you’d prefer to chat at the beginning to settle in and feel more comfortable, please let me know! Talking with clients is genuinely one of my favourite parts of the process. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to wear headphones or stay quiet all day, I won’t be offended.
If you tend to be fidgety, I recommend doing some light physical activity on the morning of your session. This doesn’t have to be an intense workout—just some movement to release tension and burn off restless energy. When I was getting my leg tattooed, I experimented with this and found the following routine worked best for me:
1. Go for a walk.
2. Shower.
3. Eat a big breakfast.
4. Head to my appointment.
This approach made a massive difference. I went from needing to stretch or adjust every hour to feeling so relaxed I almost fell asleep because my muscles were already tired.
